The curiosity in soap making began as a hobby around 1998 in Knoxville, TN.  It evolved from a previous interest in candle making that somehow became disused.  Tired of commercial soap(s) that left skin feeling dry & sometimes itchy; learning how to make a moisturizing soap became a desire.  This then lead to a quest for creating the perfect bar of soap.  

The initial batches were given out as gifts and soon family members and co-workers wanted more.  Years of research and personal experimentation have ensued resulting in a truly wonderful and luxurious base formula for The Mind, Body & Soap Co.--a cold processed soap that retains naturally occurring glycerin which is beneficial to the skin.
